Doughnut Shop in San Diego’s Point Loma Area Damaged by Hit-and-run Driver
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 21, 2020) – On Tuesday night, a doughnut shop in San Diego’s Point Loma area was damaged after being struck by a hit-and-run driver. The May 19 incident occurred on Rosecrans Street close to Harbor Drive.
The time was roughly 9:20 p.m., San Diego Police said.
Reports say a vehicle smashed into the building where Winchell’s Donut House is located. According to people who witnessed the incident, the vehicle was described as a Nissan sedan, gray in color.
The driver did not stop, but left the incident site. The driver has not been described.
According to reports, no one was hurt in the crash.
Investigators are searching for the vehicle involved in the incident, and the suspect driver.
The owner of the building has not been identified in reports.
