Crash on I-805 in San Diego’s City Heights Area Injures Motorcyclist
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 24, 2021) – On Tuesday morning in San Diego, a crash on I-805 injured a motorcyclist. The February 23 incident occurred in the lanes on the southbound side of the freeway, in the area of City Heights and close to Home Avenue.
The time was roughly a little before 9:20 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
A motorcyclist crashed, for reasons that are not known. According to reports, a person who was traveling on the freeway called 911 to report a motorcyclist had come rolling toward the vehicle she was in. Reports say the woman did not know if she had struck him as he tumbled toward her car.
Responders arrived and transported the motorcyclist to the hospital. He suffered injuries that were described as serious.
His current condition is not known. He has not been identified in reports.
The person who called 911 has also not been identified in reports.
Investigators are working to understand why the motorcyclist crashed, and what factors and circumstances may have contributed.
