Collision Involving Motorcycle and Car on Ronson Road in San Diego Injures Rider
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 28, 2020) – On Wednesday night, a collision involving a motorcycle and a car in the area of Kearny Mesa in San Diego injured the rider. The February 27 incident occurred where Convoy Street and Ronson Road intersect.
The time was a little after 8:30 p.m., according to John Buttle. Buttle is an officer with San Diego Police.
Reports say a motorcyclist had been heading east on Ronson Road, and a vehicle—described as a Hyundai sedan—which had been heading west on Ronson Road made a turn to the left to Convoy Street. The car traveled in the path of the oncoming motorcycle, and the motorcycle struck the car.
Responders arrived and transported the rider to the hospital. The rider suffered injuries that included a broken pelvis. His injuries were described as not life threatening.
He was identified only as 53 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
The person who had been driving the car stayed in the incident site. The driver was identified as a man 30 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported. It is not known from reports if the driver was injured.
