Boat Struck by Hit-and-run Driver Smashes into Home, Injuring Pregnant Woman in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 7, 2019) – A pregnant woman who was sleeping in her home in the Mount Hope area of San Diego was injured when a boat crashed through a wall. The June 7 incident occurred on 41st Street close to Broadway.
The time was roughly 2:30 a.m.
Reports say a truck that had been connected to a boat trailer was struck by a hit-and-run driver. The impact of the crash caused the trailer to separate from the truck, and the boat smashed into the house. The vehicle that hit the truck was described as a Cadillac. Three men were reported to have been occupants of the car.
According to the son of the woman who was injured, the car’s occupants stopped for a time. They then engaged in an argument, which was described as aggressive, with neighbors, and shoved one person. The three men are reported to have re-entered the car and fled. The car struck another vehicle while fleeing the neighborhood of the incident.
