At Least Six Vehicles Collide on I-5 in San Diego; One Person Killed
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 5, 2019) – Late in the morning on Wednesday, a collision involving at least six vehicles on I-5 in San Diego killed one person. The December 4 incident occurred on the southbound side of the freeway, close to 10th Avenue and Balboa Park.
The time was roughly a little before 11:15 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Reports say at least six vehicles collided, but the manner in which the collision happened is not known. The vehicles involved have not been described.
None of the drivers involved in the incident have been identified, including their names, ages, gender, and cities of residence. It is not known if any of the vehicles were carrying passengers.
The person who was killed has not been identified. It is not known if other victims were hurt in the incident.
Investigators are working to understand the sequence of events that occurred by continuing to collect details and information. At this time, no other information is known.
