Man Walking Across Kendall Drive in San Bernardino is Struck and Killed
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (April 18, 2019) – A man who was walking across Kendall Drive in San Bernardino was struck and killed early in the morning on Monday. The April 15 accident occurred in the middle of the block where the man had been crossing.
The time was roughly 2:30 a.m.
A vehicle—described as a Jeep—had been traveling west on Kendall Drive, toward Palm Avenue. Reports say the driver—identified as a woman 19 years old and a resident of San Bernardino—tried to miss striking the man, but saw him only when she was already close to where he was walking. She was not able to avoid striking the man, according to reports.
The victim—identified as a man 50 years old and a resident of San Bernardino—was reported to have been wearing clothing that was dark in color. His name has not been reported.
The driver remained on site and cooperated with the investigation. Her name has not been reported. According to police, neither alcohol or drugs appeared to have been involved in the incident.
