Irvine Man Struck and Killed by Hit-and-run Driver
IRVINE, CA (November 23, 2022) – Saman Vakili Mafakhery was struck and killed in Irvine on November 3 by a hit-and-run driver, and authorities are seeking information to locate the suspect.
The crash occurred near Dupont Drive and Von Karman Avenue, Irvine Police said.
Authorities say the vehicle was an Acura TL sedan, silver in color.
The suspect driver struck Mafakhery, and fled the crash site without helping the victim or calling for help.
Mafakhery was killed in the crash. He was 33 years old.
Investigators are searching for the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run crash, and the suspect driver, who has not been described.
