Driver Smashes into Car in Rialto, Killing Two Women
RIALTO, CA (July 8, 2019) – Two women were killed on Saturday night in Rialto when their vehicle was struck by another vehicle. The July 6 incident occurred where Spruce Avenue and Foothill Boulevard intersect.
The time was roughly 9:30 p.m.
Reports say the person driving the vehicle that smashed into the women’s car was arrested by Rialto Police. Authorities suspect, reports say, the the act was intentional.
According to Rialto Police, a vehicle—described as a Hyundai—had been waiting at a red light on Foothill Boulevard. The occupants of the Hyundai were two women.
Another vehicle—described as a Lexus—came towards the Hyundai from the rear. The Lexus was going fast and, according to police, did not try to turn away or brake. Police believe the Lexus—which was traveling over 70 miles per hour—intentionally hit the Hyundai’s back end.
Responders arrived and saw one woman lying on the road. She was deceased. Another woman was in the Hyundai. She was also deceased. Neither of the victims have been identified in reports.
The person driving the Lexus—identified as Jesse Neaves, 40 years old—was arrested by police and charged with homicide.
Also in the Lexus were three people traveling as passengers. None of the passengers have been identified. Responders transported Neaves and the the passengers to a hospital. The types of injuries they suffered, and their current condition, have not been reported.
