Ramiro Durazo, Renee Freih Die in Separate Crashes in Rancho Cucamonga on 15 Freeway
RANCHO CUCAMONA, CA (December 12, 2018) – Two separate crashes that occurred early in the morning on Sunday killed two people in Rancho Cucamonga on the 15 Freeway. Ramiro Durazo was killed in the first crash, and Renee Freih was killed in the second crash. The two December 9 crashes occurred not even two miles apart.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the site of the first accident was near Base Line Road, and to the south of it. The time was roughly 5:25 a.m.
The second crash occurred near Foothill Boulevard and to the south of it. The time was roughly 6:45 a.m. The two crashes occurred on the northbound side of the freeway.
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified the victim of the first crash as Ramiro Durazo, 71 years old and a resident of Victorville. The Coroner’s Office identified the victim of the second crash as Renee Freih, 55 years old and a resident of Laguna Niguel.
It has not yet been reported what caused each of the vehicles to crash in the separate incidents. The types of vehicles each victim was driving has also not yet been reported.
Investigators are continuing to look into the details and information to find out why the crashes occurred.
