Truck Strikes and Kills Pedestrian on Barona Mesa Road in Ramona
RAMONA, CA (November 25, 2020) – On Tuesday night, a truck hit and killed a pedestrian in a Ramona residential neighborhood close to San Diego Country Estates. The November 24 incident occurred on Barona Mesa Road in the 24100 block, close to San Vicente Road.
The time was roughly 7:30 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
It is not known from reports how the collision occurred. Responders arrived to help, but the victim died at the crash site.
The victim’s identity, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported. Reports say the victim may have been teenaged, but this has not been confirmed.
The truck involved in the crash has not been described. The driver’s identity has not been reported.
Investigators are working to understand why the crash happened. They are in the process of collecting information and details.
