Man Identified as Teen Motorcyclist Killed in Ramona Crash
RAMONA, CA (September 11, 2019) – Kruize Alan Stockfelt was identified on Tuesday as the motorcyclist who died in a crash on Sunday morning. The September 8 incident occurred on Highland Valley Road.
The time was roughly 10:40 a.m.
Reports say Stockfelt had been riding a motorcycle, described as a Honda CRF-450R. He had been traveling on Highland Valley Road heading east.
At a point in the road where it curves to the right, close to Sky Valley Drive, Stockfelt lost control of the motorcycle, according to the California Highway Patrol and the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Stockfelt tumbled from the motorcycle, hit the ground, and slid along the road surface into the path of an approaching vehicle. The vehicle, described as an Acura Integra, which had been heading the opposite way, hit him.
Responders arrived and pronounced Stockfelt deceased at the scene of the accident. He was 18 years old, and a resident of Alpine.
The person who had been driving the vehicle stayed at the accident site. He was identified as a man 25 years old and a resident of San Diego.
Investigators are continuing their search into the details of the incident.
