Premature Baby that Survived a Car Crash Died Today

A premature baby who survived the crash that killed its parents has died in the hospital. The parents were killed in the car crash. They were on their way to a New York hospital.

The baby died from injuries overnight at New York’s Bellevue Hospital. It had sustained brain and other internal injuries all while only weighing three pounds.

Nachman and Raizy Glauber were 21 years old and died Sunday morning in Brooklyn. The emergency workers who arrived on the scene in the Orthodox Jewish neighborhood, took Raizy to a hospital where a C-section was performed in order to deliver and save the baby. The driver of the cab was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. 

The driver of the BMW that struck the couple and the female passenger of that vehicle are missing. They were seen leaving the scene of the accident on foot. The police officials said they know who the driver is but have been unsuccessful in locating them so far.

A woman who had co-signed the vehicle’s lease has been charged with insurance fraud for allowing a third party to use the car without notifying  the insurance company.

Raizy was not feeling well Saturday night and the couple decided to to call a car service to get to the hospital to check on the baby and mother. She was 6 months pregnant at the time of the accident.

Funeral services have been held for the couple and many people were angry at the driver as they mourned the loss.
