POMONA, CA (November 20, 2020) – Early in the morning on Thursday in Pomona, a teen driver died after her vehicle crashed into a parked car. The November 19 incident occurred close to where San Antonio Avenue and Holt Avenue intersect.
The time was roughly 2:00 a.m., Pomona Police said.
A vehicle–described only as a yellow car–smashed into a parked car and came to a stop on the sidewalk. No details are known regarding why the crash happened.
Responders arrived and discovered the person who had been driving the vehicle had died in the crash. The person was identified only as a woman, 19 years old. Her name and city of residence have not been reported.
The parked vehicle that was struck has not been described, and its owner has not been identified.
Investigators are working to understand why the crash happened, and what factors may have contributed to it.
