PERRIS, CA (August 27, 2018) – A car hit and injured four pedestrians in Perris Saturday afternoon. The accident happened close to where Perris Boulevard and Nuevo Road intersect, according to Deputy Robyn Flores of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The time was a little after 3:30 p.m.
According to reports, the four injured people included two juveniles and two adults. The adult victims are a woman and a man.
Officials reported that the pedestrians suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Responders took the victims to the hospital for treatment.
According to Deputy Flores, the person who had been driving the vehicle was taken into custody. The driver is suspected of driving under the influence (DUI) of a narcotic.
Investigators continued their examination of the details of the crash. No other information was yet reported.
