Pasadena Pedestrian is Struck and Killed on 210 Freeway
PASADENA, CA (December 20, 2021) – Early in the morning on Monday in Pasadena, a pedestrian was struck and killed on the 210 Freeway. The December 20 crash occurred on the westbound side of the roadway, close to Lake Avenue.
The time was roughly 4:02 a.m., Elizabeth Kravig said. Kravig is an officer with the California Highway Patrol.
No details have yet been reported on why the pedestrian was on the freeway. Reports say the man was struck by one vehicle, and maybe other vehicles.
The vehicle that struck him has not been described.
Responders arrived to help, but the man died at the crash site. His name, age, and city of residence have not been reported.
The identity of the driver involved in the crash has also not been reported.
Investigators are working to collect information and details about the crash to understand the incident.
