Hollywood Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-run Crash

HOLLYWOOD, CA (July 18, 2022) – Early in the morning on Sunday in Hollywood, a pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash. The July 17 crash occurred where Sierra Vista Avenue and North Wilton Place intersect.

The time was roughly a little before 5:00 a.m., Los Angeles Police said.

According to authorities, the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle described as a Toyota Corolla. The Toyota left the crash site and the driver did not help the victim, reports say.

As she was down on the ground, a second vehicle–described as a Nissan Rogue–hit the woman. The Nissan also left the crash site without the driver helping the victim.

Responders transported the victim to a hospital in the area. She was pronounced deceased in the hospital.

Her identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.

Investigators later located the person who was driving the Toyota, and the person cooperated with investigators, reports say.

The Toyota’s driver has not been identified in reports.

Investigators are continuing to search for the person who was driving the Nissan.
