Four People Attempting to Steal Man’s Car from His Paso Robles Garage are Arrested
PASO ROBLES, CA (March 30, 2020) – Early in the morning on Saturday, a man found a person inside his garage in Paso Robles trying to steal his vehicle. The March 28 incident occurred at the man’s residence.
The time was roughly a little after 5:00 a.m.
Reports say the resident found a man trying to enter his car in his garage after the suspect had opened the garage door. Authorities later identified the suspect as Ricardo Magana.
According to authorities, a vehicle—described as a Ford Edge, black in color—had been waiting for Magana in front of the resident’s home, and Magane ran to it.
The person who was driving the vehicle was later identified as Christina Rogers. Also in the vehicle was a female passenger in the back, 16 years of age. The suspects fled the site and officers pursued. The vehicle was abandoned in a home’s driveway on Laura Way, and the suspects fled.
According to authorities, the vehicle the suspects abandoned had a stolen license plate, which had not been reported, on the bumper in the rear.
Paso Robles Police officers found Rogers, the teenage female, and Magana in the area. A fourth person, who may be a suspect, was identified as Joel Nunez. Officers arrested the four people. They face charges that include burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle, and evading police.
Investigators are continuing to gather information and evidence regarding the incident. They are searching for the owner of the suspected stolen vehicle that was abandoned.
