1 Killed in Multi-Car Accident on 210 Fwy in Pasadena
Pasadena, CA (July 3, 2024) – A tragic multi-vehicle collision on the 210 Freeway near Madre Street resulted in the death of one individual late Wednesday night. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the crash occurred around 11:45 p.m. and involved several vehicles, including a UPS truck, three semi-trucks, and a Honda Civic.
Responding to the scene, CHP officers discovered one vehicle had come to a stop on a hillside, with a victim trapped inside. Firefighters promptly arrived and successfully extricated the occupant from the wreckage.
Despite Rescue Efforts 1 Person Could Not Be Saved
Despite the rescue efforts, one person succumbed to severe injuries at a nearby hospital. The identity of the deceased, including their name, gender, and age, has not been released by authorities.
The collision led to significant disruptions on the 210 Freeway, as large chunks of concrete were scattered across the road, and oil spills posed additional hazards. The freeway was subsequently closed to clear the debris and ensure safety.
