Pedestrian Killed in Accident on 134 Fwy in Pasadena
Pasadena, CA (March 26, 2024) – Tragedy struck early Tuesday morning on the 134 Freeway near San Rafael Avenue, where a pedestrian lost their life in an accident, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The incident occurred on March 26 around 5:30 a.m. near the interchange of the 210 Freeway and the 134 Freeway. A vehicle struck the pedestrian for reasons that are still under investigation.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene and pronounced the pedestrian deceased. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of their next of kin.
A Blue Volkswagen Tiguan Struck The Pedestrian In The Early Morning Hours
The driver of the Blue Tiguan involved in the accident remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
In response to the accident, responders temporarily closed the area to conduct an investigation. The closures affected the eastbound 210 Freeway and lanes 2, 3, and 4 of the westbound 134 Freeway.
CHP is actively investigating the cause of the fatal accident and has committed to providing further information as it becomes available.
