Suspect Who Ran Red light Sought in Palmdale Hit-and-run Crash; Two Teens Killed
PALMDALE, CA (February 2, 2021) – Two teenaged boys–identified by a friend as Albert Anthony, 17 years old; and Sergio, 18 years old–were killed in a hit-and-run crash on Saturday night. The January 30 incident, which occurred at 10th Street West and Avenue 0-8 in Palmdale, involved a suspect who ran a red light and then left the scene.
The time was roughly 10:20 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff.
Investigators are searching for the suspect, who was described as male. He had been driving a vehicle–described as a Chrysler 200–that went through a light that was red, according to authorities.
The Chrysler hit a Honda Civic in which the two teen boys were traveling. The driver of the Chrysler left the incident site.
The two victims died at the site of the collision. They were identified by the mother of a friend of one of the victims.
Investigators are looking for the suspect driver, and the vehicle he was driving. If anyone has information about the crash, the person can contact the Palmdale station of the Sheriff’s Department. The number is 661-272-2400.
