Multi-vehicle Collision Kills One Person, Injures Three Others in Palmdale
PALMDALE, CA (January 14, 2019) – A collision in Palmdale involving three vehicles killed one person on Saturday afternoon and injured three others. The January 12 accident occurred near Pearblossom Highway and Small Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The time was roughly 2:44 p.m.
Reports say a sedan, a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, and a Chevrolet Suburban collided. The collision caused the sedan to roll down a slope and land on railroad tracks that Metrolink uses. According to Ron Singleton, who is a captain with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, one person died at the accident scene. The person’s name, age, gender, and city of residence have not yet been reported. It has not yet been reported if the person was a driver in one of the vehicles, and what vehicle the victim had been traveling in.
Two people—identified as a man 60 years old and a woman 60 years old—suffered injuries and their conditions were described as moderate. Responders transported them to a trauma center.
