Student on Campus at El Modena High School in Orange Dies After Crash in Golf Cart
ORANGE, CA (September 12, 2019) – On Monday, a student on campus at El Modena High School in Orange crashed in a golf cart and suffered injuries which were fatal. The September 9 incident occurred at the school, at 3920 E. Spring Street. The teen died later in the hospital.
Reports say the boy, who was 15 years old, was identified by a friend in a website post by his first name of Manny. According to reports, the friend wrote the teen had autism, and he also had motor skills that were limited.
The incident is reported to have occurred when the teen was in a golf cart on campus. Reports say an aide, who was supervising the teen, attempted to prevent him from driving the cart. The identity of the aide has not been reported.
No details have been reported on where the crash occurred, or what circumstances were factors. The teen was reported to have suffered injuries that were described as major when the crash happened.
