Oceanside, CA (August 17, 2023) – Heartbreaking events unfolded on Tuesday afternoon as a toddler lost their life in a devastating pedestrian accident on San Tomas Drive near Tiffany Drive.

Around 3:40 p.m., tragedy struck when a 16-month-old toddler found themselves in the midst of a harrowing incident. In circumstances yet to be clarified, a 62-year-old driver behind the wheel of a white Ford F-150 was involved in a collision with the young child, who was reportedly in the roadway at the time.
The Oceanside police swiftly responded to the scene, where the incident had taken place. Despite their immediate and valiant life-saving efforts, the child’s injuries proved insurmountable, and the toddler tragically succumbed to the accident right there on the scene.
Driver of Ford F-150 Remained At Scene and Cooperated With Authorities
In the aftermath of this heart-wrenching incident, the driver of the white Ford F-150 remained on-site, fully cooperating with the investigative efforts of the police. Preliminary assessments from law enforcement do not indicate any suspicion of driver impairment as a contributing factor.
