1 Dead in Pedestrian Crash on 605 Freeway in Norwalk

Norwalk, CA (April 15, 2024) – Tragedy struck on the 605 Freeway near the 105 Freeway as one person died in a pedestrian accident, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred around 9:15 a.m. on Monday when, for reasons yet to be determined, an unidentified individual was on the southbound 605 Freeway. A driver traveling near the 105 Freeway interchange struck the pedestrian.

LA County Paramedics Arrived Shortly After The Accident To Confirm The Fatality

Paramedics arrived at the scene minutes later and confirmed the fatality. The identity of the pedestrian has not been released pending family notification, nor has information about the driver involved been disclosed.

In response to the crash, police rerouted commuters away from the area to facilitate their investigation.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the ultimate cause of the accident but have committed to further investigation to determine the details surrounding the incident.
