Marilyn Haight Killed by Hit-and-run Driver in Norwalk

NORWALK, CA (November 27, 2018) – Marilyn Haight was killed on the day before Thanksgiving by a hit-and-run driver as she was walking in Norwalk. The November 21 accident occurred on Pioneer Boulevard, close to Lindale Street, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

The time was roughly 5:00 p.m.

According to reports, Haight had been walking towards home after shopping at a grocery store nearby when a vehicle hit her. Haight had been walking across Pioneer Boulevard. The vehicle that hit her had been heading northbound on Pioneer Boulevard. The person driving the vehicle did not stop to see how she was, or help her. Haight had been critically injured.

Respondents transported Haight to a hospital in the area. She died in the hospital.

Authorities were not able to identity Haight until her family came to her home on Thanksgiving. They had no idea what had occurred to Haight the day before, according to the Sheriff’s Department. The family learned what happened to Haight after contacting the authorities.

As of the report, authorities do not have information about the driver or the vehicle that hit Haight.
