Man Struck and Killed by Car He Was Sleeping Under in Northridge
Northridge, CA (March 12, 2024) – A tragic accident claimed the life of a homeless man who was struck by a car while sleeping underneath it on North Reseda Boulevard. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning at around 4:19 a.m., near the Northridge Recreation Center and south of Devonshire Street.
Homeless Man Dies after Struck by Driver while Sleeping Under Car on North Reseda Boulevard in Northridge
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the man had been sleeping under the car when the driver of a newer model Mercedes-Benz pulled out onto Reseda Boulevard. The driver, feeling as if she had hit something, stopped her vehicle and discovered the victim. She immediately called 911 for assistance.
Upon arrival, paramedics found the man trapped underneath the Mercedes and pronounced him dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officers.
