Northridge Two-Car Crash on North Tampa Avenue Kills Driver
NORTHRIDGE, CA (March 8, 2021) – On Saturday afternoon in Northridge, two vehicles collided, killing one of the drivers. The March 6 incident occurred on North Tampa Avenue in the 10800 block.
The time was roughly 2:40 p.m., Los Angeles Police said.
The manner in which the crash occurred has not been described. According to reports, one of the vehicles ended up against the median in the center of the road, and had struck a pole.
Responders arrived and found that the driver in the vehicle against the median was deceased at the crash site.
The identity of the driver-including name, age, gender, and city of residence–has not been reported. The person had been the sole occupant of the vehicle when the crash occurred.
The person who had been driving the other vehicle involved in the crash was not hurt in the incident, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department, reports say. The identity of the driver has not been reported.
The vehicle has not been described.
Investigators are working to understand why the two vehicles collided. They are continuing work to collect information about the incident.
