Murrieta, CA (September 7th, 2023) – A high-speed street racing incident on Jefferson Avenue in Murrieta took a harrowing turn on the night of September 1, leaving two individuals injured and prompting a police investigation into the reckless event.

The collision occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. and involved two powerful Lamborghini Huracáns engaged in an illegal street race. According to the Murrieta Police Department, the luxury cars were hurtling down the avenue at astonishing speeds when tragedy struck. One of the racing vehicles lost control, leading to a catastrophic collision with another vehicle traveling in the far-right lane.
The impact of the crash sent debris sprawling across the roadway, and both Lamborghini sports cars sustained severe damage as a result of the collision.
Suspect Named Austin Identified As One of the Lamborghini Drivers Arrested
The Murrieta Police Department identified one of the Lamborghini drivers as Austin, hailing from Colorado. Austin, who had suffered minor injuries in the incident, was promptly treated at a local hospital. However, his night took a legal turn as he was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving and participating in an illegal speed contest, underscoring the seriousness of such dangerous activities.
In addition to Austin, a victim in the third vehicle involved in the crash also suffered minor injuries during the chaos.
