Montecito Multi-vehicle Crash on Highway 101 Causes Damage
MONTECITO, CA (November 17, 2021) – Late in the morning on Monday in Montecito, a multi-vehicle crash caused damage. The November 15 crash occurred on Highway 101 close to the off-ramp for Sheffield Drive.
The time was roughly a little before noon, the California Highway Patrol said.
Two vehicles–described as a Porsche and a Honda SUV–crashed, for reasons that are not known. The manner in which the crash occurred has not been described.
The force of the crash sent the Honda to overturn a number of times before it landed upside down.
No details have been reported on the people involved in the crash, and if anyone was hurt. The number of occupants of each vehicle has not been reported.
The driver of each vehicle has not been identified.
Investigators are working to understand why the crash happened, and what factors may have contributed.
