A woman and her baby daughter were transported to the hospital in Baltimore after a rolling car accident northeast of Bel Air in Harford County. The sheriff’s office stated that the injuries were not life-threatening. However, the extent of the injuries are unknown at this time. It was just the mother and daughter in the vehicle. No one else was involved or hurt. The accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon around 3 p.m.
Janelle Dorny, 31-years-old, a Pennsylvania resident was flown to the trauma center in Baltimore. Her 1-year-old daughter, Layla Burkins, was transported immediately to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.
The accident occurred when she lost control of the vehicle due to a curve in the road. It only involved her vehicle which was a Toyota 4Runner. The accident caused the Thomas Run road to be shut down for two hours while clean-up and investigating was done.
Commuters have been told to avoid that area near Pennington Road due to the ongoing investigation. It is not yet clear what caused her to lose control of the car.
