Collision Involving Three Vehicles Kills a Man in Moreno Valley
MORENO VALLEY, CA (April 16, 2019) – A collision involving three vehicles on Sunday night killed a man in Moreno Valley. The April 14 accident occurred on Gilman Spring Road close to Alessandro Boulevard.
The time was roughly 7:15 p.m.
Reports say a vehicle—described as a BMW, white in color—had been heading west on the road. The BMW attempted to pass a vehicle in an area where double-yellow solid lines mark the road. The BMW collided head on with a Ford Taurus that had been traveling east.
The person who had been driving the Ford—identified as a man 47 years old and a resident of Hemet—was killed. His name has not been reported.
Responders transported the driver of the BMW—who was identified as a man 27 years old and a resident of Santa Ana—to RiversideUniversity Health System. According to officials, he suffered injuries that were serious. Responders also transported a passenger who had been traveling with him. The passenger was only identified as a person 24 years old. The name, gender, and city of residence of the passenger has not been reported. The passenger also suffered injuries that were described as serious.
A person who had been driving a vehicle behind the BMW was also injured. The victim—identified as a man 46 years old and a resident of Montebello—had been hit by debris from the crash. The man suffered injuries that were described as minor. His name has not been reported.
Reports say that eight people were victims in the incident. Investigators are examining the details surrounding the crash.
