Merced, CA (October 12, 2023) – An accident involving a big rig on Highway 99 near 16th Street resulted in minor injuries for seven individuals, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The incident occurred on a Tuesday when, for reasons yet unknown, a big rig driver failed to observe the slowing traffic and collided with multiple vehicles.
