Highland Man Killed in Collision while Riding a Motorized Scooter
HIGHLAND, CA (September 13, 2021) – On Saturday night in Highland, Mark Bocanegra was killed in a collision with a pickup truck while he was riding a motorized scooter. The September 11 crash occurred where Stratford Street and Church Avenue intersect.
The time was roughly 8:15 p.m., according to the Sheriff’s Department.
Bocanegra had been traveling south on Church Avenue, and the motorized scooter he was riding, and a pickup truck–described as a Ford F150–collided.
Responders arrived to provide medical help to Bocanegra. He died at the crash site.
Bocanegra was 52 years old.
The driver of the pickup truck has not been identified in reports. It is not known if the person suffered injuries in the crash.
