A New Jersey man survived a car crash today, but was killed shortly after when he was walking across the highway. The accident occurred on Garden State Parkway.
The 21-year-old man was found dead at 12:45 am after he had been run over by 2 automobiles. Luis Sarmiento had just been involved in a car accident 25 minutes before his tragic death. All that is known about the accident is that 2 cars were involved.
Sarmiento traveled a half mile away from the scene of the accident when he was struck. Police have stated that it seems that he abandoned his car shortly after the accident. He had climbed over the median and was moving south towards the southbound lane.

Police were able to identify him as the owner and driver of the Honda Accord that had been left at the scene of the accident. They will be speaking to the other people involved in the accident to verify information and investigate the cause. Sarmiento’s death seems to have been unwarranted.
