Malibu Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-Run on PCH, Driver Still at Large

LAPD On The Hunt For Hit-and-Run Driver After Striking Pedestrian On PCH in Malibu
MALIBU, CA (September 24, 2024) – A hit-and-run pedestrian accident early Tuesday morning left one person injured on Pacific Coast Highway near Morning View Drive, Malibu. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene around 5:00 a.m. after reports of the incident in the 30100 block of the highway.
According to authorities, a vehicle struck a pedestrian and fled the scene, leaving the injured victim behind. Paramedics arrived shortly after to provide medical assistance to the victim, whose condition has not been disclosed.
Authorities Are Asking The Public For Help Identifying The Driver
The cause of the crash and the identity of the driver remain unknown. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station at 818-878-1808.
Authorities also remind the public of the importance of staying at the scene in the event of an accident and encourage both drivers and pedestrians to practice safety precautions. Drivers should remain vigilant for pedestrians, especially at night, and ensure their vehicle’s headlights are functioning properly. Pedestrians are advised to cross roads only when it is safe.
