Two Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 41
MADERA COUNTY, CA (February 21, 2025) – Two people were killed in a head-on collision on Highway 41 early Friday morning, authorities reported.
The fatal crash occurred shortly after 3:00 a.m. on February 21, just north of Avenue 11. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a 30-year-old man from Garden Grove was driving a white 2020 Honda Accord northbound when, for unknown reasons, he crossed over the double yellow lines into the southbound lane.
The 2020 Honda Went Into The Opposite Lane and Collided Head On With A Toyota Camry
The Honda collided head-on with a 2005 Toyota Camry driven by a 28-year-old Fresno man. Both vehicles sustained major damage.
A 22-year-old female passenger in the Honda, who was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both Drivers Were Immediately Transported To A Nearby Hospital Where One Driver Died
The driver of the Honda was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota sustained major injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The identities of the deceased victims have not yet been released. Madera County CHP officials continue to investigate the cause of the crash and any contributing factors.
