2 Hurt After Stolen Vehicle Crashes in Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA (June 16, 2024) – A police chase involving a stolen car ended in a multi-car collision on Obama Boulevard at La Brea Avenue, resulting in two injuries. The incident unfolded around 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers spotted a stolen white Kia on Obama Boulevard and attempted to conduct an enforcement stop. However, the teenage driver refused to yield, leading police on a chase. The pursuit came to an abrupt end when the Kia collided with a white Chevrolet U-Haul pickup truck and a BMW.
2 Female Juveniles Were Arrested For Stealing The Kia And Causing The Accident
Paramedics promptly arrived at the scene and transported the drivers of the BMW and Chevrolet to a hospital with minor injuries. Following the crash, police discovered two juvenile females in the stolen Kia, both of whom were taken into custody.
The LAPD urges anyone with additional information about the multi-car crash to come forward.
