Driver Fleeing Cops From Street Takeover in South LA Crashes into Parked Cars On Colden Ave.
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 13, 2024) — A driver fleeing a street takeover crashed into multiple rows of parked cars early Monday morning near Colden Avenue and San Pedro Street in South Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) reported that the multi-vehicle crash occurred around 3:45 a.m. The unidentified driver had reportedly sped away from a street takeover several blocks away before losing control and colliding with several parked vehicles.
Police Have Not Confirmed Anyone Was Injured
A witness at the scene mentioned seeing two men on the ground who appeared to be injured, though police have not confirmed any injuries at this time.
Authorities have not yet provided additional details about the driver or the cause of the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
