25-Year-Old Driver Fatally Struck in South LA
Los Angeles, CA (April 16, 2024) – A tragic accident on Crenshaw Boulevard late Tuesday evening resulted in the death of a 25-year-old driver after his vehicle was struck by a speeding vehicle, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The incident occurred on April 16, around 11:15 p.m., near West Florence Avenue. Reports indicate that a speeding black BMW SUV ran a red light and collided with the side of a gray sedan.
The Impact Of The Collision Caused The SUV To Lose Control And Spin Out Of Control
Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the sedan dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene following the crash. Officers later arrested the driver, whose name has not been released. The LAPD is actively investigating the cause of the fatal accident. Further details will be provided as the investigation progresses.
