Vehicle Injures Marcher in Downtown Los Angeles Black Lives Matter Protest
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 29, 2020) – On Wednesday, a vehicle struck and injured a person who was marching in a Black Lives Matter protest in downtown Los Angeles. The May 27 incident occurred in the area of the Spring Street and First Street intersection.
Reports say an activist–identified only as a man–was struck and injured by a vehicle. The circumstances related to the crash are not yet known. According to Frank Preciado, who is a police sergeant, investigators are gathering details and information regarding the incident.
According to reports, the vehicle left the scene after the incident. The vehicle has not been described. According to Preciado, the incident would normally be considered a hit-and-run.
