Three People in Brentwood Homeless Encampment in Los Angeles Injured by SUV
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 4, 2021) – Early in the morning on Thursday in Los Angeles, three people were injured when an SUV entered a homeless encampment and struck them. The March 4 incident occurred in the neighborhood of Brentwood, on West San Vicente Boulevard in the 11500 block.
The time was roughly 12:30 a.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
A vehicle–described as a Lincoln SUV, black in color–was reported to have gone into the encampment and struck three people before coming to a stop.
Responders arrived from the Los Angeles Fire Department and found three people who had been injured. The injuries suffered by the patients were described as minor.
The people who were injured did not need to be hospitalized, according to the Fire Department.
The identities of the victims have not been reported, including their names, ages, and gender.
The person who had been driving the vehicle has also not been identified. It is not known if the driver was hurt in the incident.
Investigators are working to collect information in order to understand why the crash happened.
