Los Angeles, CA – SUV Overturns on 405 Freeway; Driver Dies, 4 Others Injured

LOS ANGELES, CA (July 11, 2018) – A crash that caused a vehicle to overturn on Wednesday morning killed one person and seriously injured four others.
The accident occurred on the 405 Freeway in the southbound lanes near the off-ramp for West Olympic Boulevard. The time was roughly a little before 4:00 a.m.
Reports say that a vehicle, described as an SUV, was traveling on the exit ramp when it lost control. The vehicle rolled over, with the roof of the vehicle landing on the guardrail’s top. The vehicle ended up pushed against a light pole.
The SUV’s driver was described as a man who was in his 20s. He was thrown from the vehicle. Authorities pronounced him deceased at the scene of the accident.
According to reports, four people who were traveling as passengers in the SUV suffered serious injuries. Responders took them to area hospitals. Two of the injured passengers were taken in critical condition to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The other two passengers, who were also described as being in critical condition, were taken to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Reports indicate the victims were men who are in their 20s.
The identities of the injured people have not been released. The identity of the man who died has also not yet been released.
Investigators are looking into why this crash occurred.
