Multi-vehicle Crash on 405 Freeway in Bel-Air Area of Los Angeles Kills One Person
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 8, 2019) – Early in the morning on Tuesday, a multi-vehicle collision on the 405 Freeway in the Bel-Air area of Los Angeles killed one person. The October 8 incident occurred in the Sepulveda Pass, on the freeway’s northbound side, close to Bel Air Crest Road.
The time was roughly 4:00 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Reports say at least two vehicles were involved, but the vehicles have not been described. It is not known how the vehicles collided, and what path of travel they were taking prior to crashing.
According to reports, one person died in the crash. The identity of the person, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported. It is not known who the driver of each vehicle was, and if anyone else had been an occupant of a vehicle when the incident occurred.
It is not known from reports if there were other people injured in the incident.
Investigators are working to gather information and details regarding the crash to understand what factors contributed. At this time, no other information has been reported.
