Large Tree Falls on Car Parked in Los Angeles Neighborhood, Crushing It
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 5, 2019) – A large tree fell onto a car that was parked in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Palms on Tuesday in the early morning hours. The February 5 accident occurred close to where Francis Place and Glendon Avenue intersect.
The time was roughly a bit after midnight.
Reports say that the tree fell onto a vehicle—described as a four-door sedan, white in color—that had been parked on the street of Glendon Avenue. The front part of the vehicle was crushed. No one was reported injured in the incident. The person who owns the vehicle has not been identified, including the person’s name, and city of residence.
The large, toppled tree also blocked the street, and the road was closed until crews could clean up and remove the tree debris. Reports say the tree fell following several days of rain.
Other roads were closed temporarily due to rain on Monday, including Topanga Canyon Road, and Pacific Coast Highway in the section that travels from Malibu to Ventura County.
