House in South Los Angeles Struck After Two Vehicles Collide; Driver Flees
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 17, 2021) – A house in South Los Angeles was damaged on Monday night after two vehicles collided, and one vehicle ended up on the residential property. The February 15 incident occurred close to where Denver Avenue and West 68 Street intersect, in the Vermont-Slauson neighborhood.
The time was a little before midnight, according to Los Angeles Police.
Two vehicles–which have not been described–collided, sending one of the vehicles crashing into a fence and the house. One of the drivers was reported to have fled the crash site. The person who fled has not been described.
Responders arrived and treated a patient at the incident site. The identity of the person has not been reported.
The amount of damage to the home has not been described. Reports say the home belongs to Martha Salazar. It is not known if anyone inside the home was hurt in the crash.
Investigators are working to understand what led to the initial collision that sent the car into the house. They are also searching for the suspect hit-and-run driver.
