Hit-and-run Crash on Main Street in South Los Angeles Kills Bicyclist

LOS ANGELES, CA (November 20, 2020) – On Wednesday night, a hit-and-run driver struck and killed a bicyclist in the neighborhood of Broadway-Manchester in South Los Angeles. The November 18 incident occurred on Main Street, close to 120th Street and to the north of it.

The time was roughly 9:15 p.m., Los Angeles Police said.

A vehicle–described as a sedan, dark in color–had been traveling on Main Street northbound. The vehicle struck the bicyclist, and the driver left the scene without providing help to the victim.

Responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department transported the injured bicyclist to a hospital. He was pronounced deceased in the hospital. His name, age, and city of residence have not been reported.

Investigators are searching for the vehicle involved in the crash, and the suspect driver, who has not been described. If anyone has information about the crash, the person can call Officer Mitchell or Detective Flannery. The number is 323-421-2500.
