Hit-and-run Crash in Los Angeles’ Koreatown Kills Pedestrian
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 8, 2021) – Early in the morning on Friday in Los Angeles, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in the neighborhood of Koreatown. The January 8 incident occurred on Beverly Boulevard close to Normandie Avenue.
The time was roughly 2:15 a.m., Los Angeles Police said.
The pedestrian had been walking across the road and a vehicle, which has not been described, struck him. The driver did not stop to help the victim.
The victim who died was identified only as likely in his twenties. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
According to investigators, the victim may not have been crossing in a marked crosswalk when the crash occurred. Investigators are searching for the vehicle involved in the crash, and the suspect driver, who has not been described.
