East Hollywood Hit-and-run Crash Seriously Injures Tow Truck Driver
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 11, 2021) – On Saturday night, a hit-and-run driver struck and seriously injured a tow truck driver in East Hollywood. The February 6 incident occurred close to where Clinton Street and Virgil Avenue intersect.
The time was roughly a little after 8:00 p.m., Los Angeles Police said.
The tow truck driver had been taking photos of a vehicle and standing in the road. A vehicle–which has not been described–that was traveling on Virgil Street and heading south, hit the tow truck driver.
The hit-and-run driver fled the scene and did not help the victim, reports say.
Responders arrived and found the victim suffered injuries that were described as severe. His current condition is described as critical.
He was identified only with his first name, Gustavo; he is 46 years old.
On Wednesday, police asked for the public’s help with information about the incident.
