Collision in South Los Angeles Involving Van and Semi-truck Injures Four People

LOS ANGELES, CA (December 27, 2018) – A collision in the morning on Wednesday in South Los Angeles injured four people. The December 26 accident occurred on the 110 Freeway northbound at the transition to the 105 Freeway heading east, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The time was roughly 10:25 a.m.

According to reports, a vehicle—described as a minivan—struck the back end of a semi-truck. The front of the minivan had major damage. David Reddix, who is a battalion chief, said respondents had to extricate the person who had been driving the minivan. The driver’s condition was described as critical, but the types of injuries the person suffered, as well as the person’s name, age, gender, and city of residence, have not yet been reported.

The people who had been traveling as passengers in the minivan have also not yet been identified, though they were identified as adults. The types of injuries suffered by the passengers has not yet been reported.
