Car of Teenagers Crashes on 10 Freeway in Los Angeles’ Jefferson Park Area; Boy Killed
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 27, 2020) – On Friday afternoon, a car occupied by teenagers crashed on the 10 Freeway in the Jefferson Park area of Los Angeles, killing one boy. The April 24 incident occurred on the eastbound side of the freeway, close to Crenshaw Boulevard.
The time was roughly 3:20 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Reports say a vehicle–described as a Dodge Charger–had been occupied by a driver who was described as 16 years old, and three passengers, also described as 16 years old. The identities of the four boys have not been reported.
According to reports, the vehicle went out of the driver’s control, for reasons that are not known. The Dodge hit the wall of the center divider, overturned, and landed upside down. One of the boys was ejected from the vehicle.
Responders arrived and transported the four victims to the hospital. The boy who had been thrown from the vehicle died.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the boy who had been driving the vehicle, and two of the passengers suffered moderate injuries.
